Each year, Columbia University's Business School hosts its annual Columbia Africa Conference (CAC), previously known as the Africa Economic Forum (AEF). The 21st CAC is set to take place on October 25th-26th, 2024, at the Columbia University Business School campus, located at 645 West 130th Street, New York.

With the theme – “Navigating Disruption: Strategies for Africa's Resilience and Transformation,” the event will bring together distinguished guests to discuss Africa's economic landscape -- including solutions to challenges and tailored strategies that help to uncover Africa's untapped opportunities.

As the largest Africa-focused event at Columbia University, the CAC will host over 450 attendees and feature more than 40 panelists and speakers. This year's speakers include Emeka Emuwa, Chairman of the Board of Directors at Africa Finance Corporation (AFC); renowned multidisciplinary artist Laolu Senaonjo, and content creator and entrepreneur Eni Popoola. Additional panelists will comprise senior vice presidents in finance, tech executives, CEOs, music managers, beauty experts and dermatologists, M&A sports lawyers, and more. The after-event gala will feature a performance by popular Nigerian artist, Pheelz.

Attendees will have the opportunity to engage in discussions surrounding Africa's tech startup revolution, African sports, the beauty and fashion industries, climate change, and music, among other topics. Corporate partners will have the opportunity to connect with Columbia Business School's growing community of over 1,700 MBA students and alumni.

Students from Columbia Business School (CBS), the School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA), the School of Engineering, the Mailman School of Public Health, and the Law School have all contributed to bringing this year’s conference to life.
