At two years old, many children are just learning how to draw and how to say a few words but this South African kid wasn't ready to start slow. Oratilwe AJ Hlongwane had been interested in music since he was 8-months old. His father, who is a DJ, took notice of his interest and exposed him to the art of DJing just after his first birthday.
His father decided to post a YouTube video of the unconventional child prodigy and when he did, many were amazed by his unbelievable work and his post went viral. This was the beginning of his claim to fame and it did not take long before DJ Arch's skills, fan base, and influence grew.
When he was just three years old, DJ Arch headed to compete in the 'South Africa's Got Talent' competition. His SA's Got Talent audition video gained over 2 million views on YouTube in less than a week. Night after night, he blew the crowd away with his explosive performances and won the show.
By the age of five, DJ Arch Junior had secured the Guinness World Record title for the youngest performing club DJ. Now at age six, he is currently competing in America's Got Talent: The Champions edition. Again, on this global stage, the passionate young DJ amazed even the most stoic judge, Simon.
"You and I need to talk for sure because I have some plans for you after this show, trust me."- Simon Cowell
Since his time on the show, DJ Arch Junior has received massive support from his fan base including a retweet from multiple award-winning African DJ, Black Coffee and another retweet on the South African Government Twitter page.
DJ Arch Junior is a pre-schooler yet a master on the turn tables. Today, he is consistently booked for concerts, kid parties, and festivals. We are keen to seeing how he proceeds in the competition and wish him the best of luck!
